Initially I began taking pictures as a way to document my family, friendships and experiences. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively and to even live overseas. It was during this time that I became very interested in photographing architecture and landscapes. I am fascinated by how a building can look like a totally different place depending on the angle that it's photographed at. I then began taking pictures of friends, and people started asking me to take their portraits. All of this coupled with taking classes and experimenting in different styles has led me to this point. I am so blessed to make a career out of what I love doing. More importantly, I love seeing how doing what I love can bring joy to others.
Photography is not a "one size fits all" business. I believe in custom tailoring each shoot to fit each persons unique style and personality. My goal is to provide you with photos that are more than a piece of paper in your hand or a canvas hanging above your fireplace. My goal is to provide you with timeless memories, personalities captured and gifts to be remembered.
Avenue D Photography is named in loving Memory of my Dad, Bill McNamara who passed away in 2001. The name of his High School band was Avenue D. May his memory and the impact he had on us never be forgotten...
